My favorite subgenre of movies

 My favorite subgenre of movies As many people I am a fan of science fiction in films, there is a subgenre within them that I am passionate about with its themes, this subgenre that is also presented in literature is called dystopian, in this style of films decadent societies are always presented with deep problems that affect most of the people, the opposite of a Utopia. There are great contemporary films that we all know or have heard, such as Matrix, Blade Runner or V for Vendetta.

 

 I like the way of thinking about the society that many dystopias do, my favorite dystopian film without a doubt is “Children of Men” (2006) by Alfonso Cuarón, the script, the photo and the art, in addition to the concepts behind are incredible, the film is set in England in 2027 where women around the world lose the ability to have children, many conflicts affect different countries and England remains semi stable with a giant wave of immigration and racism.

 

 For me this film is incredible for the level of detail it shows of this not very futuristic society, there is a depth of this "world" that is shown by little things, such as the suicide kit that you can buy in the supermarket as well as the "Music" in fashion of the moment. There are many factors that make this movie incredible that is why I always recommend it.
